It's finally Fall, and this time of year always reminds us to spend extra time with loved ones. For us, spending time with family and friends usually means crowding around the dinner table, or having snacks nearby while enjoying time together.

That's why we're loving this new recipe – or should we say recipes! We've created Stuffed Pitted Dates - Four Ways! These recipes are not only quick and easy, but they're also great for sharing. Plus, dates are super healthy and energizing!

Pitted Dates from Sunsweet® are perfect for this recipe, because they come in a convenient, resealable package, and (surprise!) no pits! They are ready to use, and eat!

No matter who you're spending time with this Fall, there should to be a version of this recipe for everyone to enjoy. See how we made it!

1.) “Jalapeno Popper” - Sunsweet Pitted Dates stuffed with Cream Cheese and pickled Jalapenos

Ingredients:

  • Sunsweet® Pitted Dates
  • 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. chopped pickled jalapeno
Directions:
  1. Split Dates.
  2. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese and chopped pickled jalapenos.
  3. Spoon mixture into each split date. Enjoy!

2.) “Pig in a Blanket” - Sunsweet Pitted Dates stuffed with cocktail sausages and BBQ sauce

Ingredients:

  • Sunsweet® Pitted Dates
  • Cocktail sausages - sliced in half
  • BBQ Sauce
Directions:
  1. Split Sunsweet Dates.
  2. Slice cocktail sausages in half, lengthwise and cook 5-10 minutes. Insert into split Pitted Dates.
  3. Drizzle with BBQ Sauce. Enjoy!

3.) "Baklava" - Sunsweet Pitted Dates stuffed with Pistachios & Honey

Ingredients:

  • Sunsweet® Pitted Dates
  • Chopped Pistachios
  • Honey
Directions:
  1. Split Sunsweet Dates.
  2. Chop pistachios and mix with honey.
  3. Fill each date with pistachio honey mixture. Enjoy!

4.) “Peanut Butter & Chocolate” - Sunsweet Pitted Dates stuffed with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate

Ingredients:

  • Sunsweet® Pitted Dates
  • Peanut Butter
  • Melted Chocolate
Directions:
  1. Split Sunsweet dates.
  2. Fill with peanut butter.
  3. Dip one end on melted chocolate. Chill for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
