Now, let's get to the cookies that we just made for the holidays – the 3-Ingredient Prune Cookies, and a thank you to Dawn Jackson Blatner, Registered Dietitian, who created this! Now, let's just go back a sec. Did you catch that? There are only 3 ingredients! We don't think we've ever shared an easier recipe!

And here's a tip – we made the cookies into an adorable little gifts using decorated glass mason jars that would be perfect for a host, friend, coworker, or just to brighten someone's day.

Feel free to get creative here, too! Sunsweet® offers a variety of Amaz!n™ Prunes, so for this recipe we chose their Orange Essence flavor, so you could have just as easily made them with two of their other delicious flavors – Cherry and Lemon. See how we made it:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 Sunsweet® Amaz!n Prunes
  • 2 Tbsp hot water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a food processor, pulse Sunsweet® prunes and hot water until smooth. Pulse in oats and walnuts until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Roll dough into 12 balls and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Immediately after removing from the oven, tap each of them down with a glass to form a cookie shape and let cool.
