The National Restaurant is Athen’s answer for the locavore looking for a Mediterranean twist. Part of Hugh Achesons growing restaurant empire which carries the field to fork philosophy, this eclectic dinery channels the flavors he came across during his internship in La Broch Spain while incorporating local produce from the Athens Farmers Market. Though the simplistic international dishes like Stuffed Medjool Dates and Seared Scallops carry you to the cobblestone streets of Greece, the restaurant brings it home with locally sources ingredients. They even captured the Excellence in Business Award for helping raise awareness about local food and increasing the availability of local food. We at Farm Star Living say cheers or "Gia sas" to that!
