If summer had a signature drink, this Watermelon Mojito might just be it. It’s bright, minty, naturally sweet and ridiculously refreshing. Whether you’re lounging on the porch, hosting brunch, or just trying to stay cool, this is the kind of drink that feels like a mini vacation in a glass.

What makes it special? Start with Melon 1 watermelons because they're juicy, vibrant, and consistently sweet, thanks to generations of farming know-how. Melon 1 is known for doing one thing really, really well: growing high-quality watermelons. And you can taste that quality in every sip of this mojito!

While a touch of simple syrup brings everything together, it’s the juicy watermelon that really shines here bringing natural sweetness, vibrant color, and that unmistakably summery flavor to every sip. It’s perfect as a mocktail, or you can add a splash of rum if you're in the mood.

And here's a fun twist - watermelon ice balls! Made from melon scoops frozen ahead of time, they add a playful, eye-catching touch to your glass and keep your drink chilled without watering it down. It’s a small upgrade that makes a big difference in both presentation and taste.

But this isn’t just about a pretty drink. Watermelon itself is seriously underrated when it comes to health perks. It’s hydrating, packed with antioxidants like lycopene, and even delivers vitamins A and C. It's a feel-good fruit that helps you stay cool, refreshed, and nourished all at once. Tips for making the best Watermelon Mojito:
  • Make it a pitcher: Scale up the recipe and muddle the lime and mint in a large pitcher before adding juice, syrup, and rum.
  • Freeze Watermelon Ice Ahead of Time: Scooping and freezing your watermelon ice balls the day before serving (or multiple days before serving) will ensure your watermelon ice is SUPER cold and will keep your drink ice cold in the warm summer sun.
  • Make it spicy: Add a thin slice of jalapeсo for a little kick!
  • Make it zero-proof: Skip the rum and you’ve got a perfect mocktail.

So whether you’re going booze-free or mixing up a round for happy hour, the Watermelon Mojito is here for all your warm-weather moments. Bright, breezy, and better with Melon 1.

  3. Add a chili-lime rim by dipping the lip of a sturdy glass in simple syrup, then dip in chili-lime seasoning.
